Update Search module to search multiple post types

We use the Projects post types in the Divi theme and want to search across both Projects and Posts (using the Theme Builder for a custom results page that groups the results using two archive loops)

The URL returned from the Search module includes a post_type parameter - "&post_type=project" in our case - and if we remove that, our results display as intended - so we would like the Search module to have an option to NOT restrict by post types when searching (ideal), or allow multiple posts types.
