Filter ARP Product Loop by Product Type

WooCommerce site with Grouped Products results duplicating how products are displayed in the product loop.

The ‘master’ product has the product type Grouped, while the ‘child’ products have the product type ‘Simple’.

The ability to filter the product loop by Product Type would allow filtering out the parent or child to avoid duplication.

To achieve this currently I’ve had to build a custom taxonomy so the website admin can select ‘Parent’ or ‘Child’, then I can filter the ARP Product Loop by that custom taxonomy.

For context this use case is courses. There are multiple dates the course runs. The master Grouped product shows the child Simple products, which you can add to basket the child products directly from the parent product page.

The Courses category archive page shows all products with the Courses category. Meaning it shows the Parent Grouped and Child Simple products causing dupliation.
