Don't show the payment option(s) for nil due or offline payments

The payment facility is great but unusable for me as I need to support two scenarios where the payment fields should not be shown:

1. If nothing is due - for example only selected free items
2. if they person wants to pay on invoice or by an offline method (cheque or bank transfer)

Please provide a way to not show the payment details when it's not needed.
